When the whole family goes out to eat, what we want most of all is to have a quiet and peaceful evening. Sometimes we are satisfied with being able to eat quickly and leave the restaurant as soon as possible. But who hasn't dreamed of enjoying the dishes and dessert without shouting, crying or the typical "mummy/daddy, I'm having a wee"? Children get bored at the table, adults' evenings are endless. That's why we have made a list of places in Madrid where you can go with your children to have a drink and they will have a great time. They are known as child-friendly restaurants. A philosophy imported from Northern Europe and which has landed very successfully in our country.
What does a children's restaurant offer?
These are restaurants where the little ones will find more than just a children's menu. Games, storytelling, origami or balloon workshops, ball parks or simply places with a fun decoration that will catch the little ones of the house. They offer several different areas, one for eating and another area dedicated exclusively to games and fun. This way, the parents' after-dinner conversations are calmer and can be extended for as long as they want. An important thing to bear in mind is that the menus are adapted for them, so we can find dishes free of gluten, lactose, egg and other intolerances or allergies. Parents will be much more relaxed.

PIM PAM KIDS
Family meal while some monitors entertain the kids. This is the idea offered by this restaurant located in the heart of the Chamberí neighbourhood. After lunch, the adults' after-dinner conversation turns into a whole host of activities for the children, such as balloon twisting, face painting, origami and storytelling for all ages. The children's menu costs 12 euros.

KILOMETRES OF PIZZA
Ask any kid what their favourite dish is and you're bound to hear the word pizza. And the king of the rolled out dough can be found in this very fashionable restaurant. Its name alone gives us a clue as to what we will find on its menu. Pizzas up to two metres long with a wide range of toppings to choose from. There are also normal sizes such as the classic margherita, barbecue or four cheeses. The pizzas are designed by one of the men who has been world champion in this Italian dish: Jesús Marquina. They use special huge ovens to bake the dough.
It is an ideal place to take a large group of children and ask for their famous pizza kilometre. When they have finished eating there is a large terrace where they can go out to play.

NEW YORK BURGER
Since they opened their first restaurant in Madrid in 2009, they have revolutionised the concept of the hamburger. New York Burger stands out for the quality of its meat and for turning a typically American dish into a gourmet one. Although its premises are not specially adapted for children, its menu is a delight for the little ones: varied and with proposals in the purest American style. It also has a special and extensive gluten-free menu. This gives children with coeliac disease the opportunity to try what are considered to be the tastiest hamburgers in the city.

MOM CAMPO
In the heart of the Chamberí neighbourhood we find this gastronomic multi-space that will delight the little ones. With an original and fun decoration, Mama Campo has a restaurant, a canteen for tapas, an organic shop and a space for children called la Cocinita: a shop specialising in children's food, toys and kitchenware so that the little ones can also cook. They also offer workshops for all ages. The price is 12 € for a child and an adult.
Mamá Campo is committed to 100X100 healthy cuisine. And this is reflected in its menu: vegetables, fruit, meat and eggs that come directly from organic farming and livestock. The decoration is also organic; ceilings, walls, lamps, furniture, crockery and even the staff uniforms are organic. Prices range from 10 to 20 euros.

THE EXCENTRIC
This atypical Madrid tavern has a space exclusively dedicated to children: La Excentrikita. This is a children's area with monitors that only operates at weekends. In one corner of the restaurant there is a small playground with balls. While mums and dads enjoy our meal and the after-dinner conversation, the children can do arts and crafts, read or draw. Of course, the kids have to order the children's menu beforehand. The space is for children from 3 to 11 years old.

THE APPLE
In the heart of Casa de Campo we find this restaurant with a terrace and a very familiar atmosphere. At The Apple children have space to play and be entertained while their parents try the best of Asturian cuisine, such as fabes (beans), fish and cider. In front of the restaurant there are also several playgrounds with pirate ships, ideal for your children while you finish your meal. You can eat here in summer as well as in winter, because they have a tent on the terrace to protect you from the cold.

VIPS&NEVERLAND
It is undoubtedly the trendiest restaurant for children in Madrid. The chains Vips and Neverland have joined forces to make family meals more fun than ever. The best of the Vips children's menu: quesadillas, sandwiches, hamburgers... in a space full of games. Here the children can't wait to finish eating so they can go and play. A play area of 500 m2, full of activities such as driving simulators, little trains and other machines and videos to experiment with. You have to pay between 1 and 2 euros depending on the activity you do. The restaurant also has another Kids area. Aimed at the little ones (under 6 years old) and with monitors. Here they will find costumes, a real kitchen and a mini supermarket. It costs €4 for 20 minutes.

RESTAULANDIA
We have come to a restaurant designed and created for children. Restaulandia offers families the gastronomic concept but from a fun and entertaining point of view. Its motto is that it is the children who invite their parents to lunch. So mums and dads can come relaxed to eat while the kids enjoy what they like most: inflatables, painting workshops, face painting, balloon twisting, clown shows, a mini-disco... and lots of other games. The children's menu seems to have been chosen by the children themselves, with rice with tomato, pizza, chicken nuggets and pasta with tomato.
Throughout the year they have scheduled activities and live performances that will turn lunchtime into a time of recreation.

LA CLARAVÍA
This restaurant is located within the Novotel Sanchinarro. Here, meals with children are more relaxed at weekends and on public holidays. Once they have eaten, the children can go to an area dedicated to them, with activities organised by monitors. They are suitable for children from 2 to 3 years old. If your children are older, don't worry and have your coffee in peace and quiet. Because there is an area next to it where you can playing Wii. This way the whole family can enjoy the after-dinner meal. La Claravía also has a terrace, so when the good weather arrives, eating outdoors is appreciated and the children can also take advantage of it to go out and play.

THE FAMILY
A restaurant that perfectly combines the premise of of place to eat Child Friendly. Although it is a little out of the city, it is worth taking the car to the town of Tres Cantos. The Family has two different atmospheres. One for eating during the week, more relaxed, and the other for weekends, adapted to families with children. There are so many Kids menus such as allergies or intolerances, so that we can find dishes for coeliacs, diabetics, lactose and egg intolerant people. And all this without increasing the price. The restaurant also has an area supervised by monitors that includes bouncy castles, a ball pool, blackboards and storytelling.
