Bus lines that connect Madrid with Madrid Barajas Airport
The buses that connect Madrid with Barajas Airport are those of the Empresa Municipal de Transportes EMT, those of the line 200. These buses connecting the Avenida de América interchange with airport terminals T1, T2, T3 and T4.These buses are specially adapted to carry passengers as they offer space for luggage and run on extended timetables, from 05.00 hours to 24.00 hours.
Bus line 101, on the other hand, connects terminals T1, T2 and T3 with the old part of Madrid and also with the Canillejas interchange.
A third EMT bus line, called Airport Express, departing from Atocha Station and arriving at all airport terminals, except T3., with stops at Cibeles and O'Donell. It operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Other bus lines, corresponding to the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium, connect different nearby municipalities., with Coslada and San Fernando de Henares (line 822); Torrejón de Ardoz and Alcalá de Henares (line 824); Canillejas, Universidad Autónoma and Tres Cantos (line 827) and Canillejas, Alcobendas and Universidad Autónoma (line 828).
Parking - How to get to Barajas Airport by car
Madrid Barajas Airport has 6,829 parking spaces spread over different adjacent areas. The parking areas have different specialisations that try to respond to the specific needs of travellers who come to the airport facilities with vehicles. You can book parking at any of the airport's terminals on the website www.reservarparking.com.
Low-cost parking, express parking for quick stays, communal parking areas, long-stay parking, preferential parking, VIP parking areas or parking for motorbikes and bicycles are all available.
The low cost car park with shuttle access to T4 has outdoor and covered parking spaces and transport passes by the pick-up point every fifteen minutes. The car park offers seasonal promotions only for users who have booked in advance.
The low-cost car parks at terminals T1, T2 and T3 have buses to take users to the terminals, which stop 270 metres from the car park. The bus arrives at the T2 and T3 terminals in five minutes, and at T1 in 3 minutes. This car park also offers covered and uncovered parking spaces.
The long-stay car park has two parking areas, next to Terminal T4 and next to T1, T2 and T3. The T4 terminal car park is located four minutes away from the terminal by shuttle bus. The frequency of these minibuses is fifteen minutes. The car park offers outdoor and covered parking areas. This is an area where parked vehicles are kept, especially suitable for users who are going on holiday on flights from Madrid and for trips with long stays at their destination.
The long-stay car park in terminals T1, T2 and T3 offers the same services as in T4, except that the shuttles reach T1 in 3 minutes and T2 and T3 in five minutes.
Preferential car parks operate in terminals T2 and T4 and allow direct and quick access to these terminals. In the case of T2, the entrance to the terminal is directly opposite the check-in desks.
Three more parking areas, the car parks known as P4, in T4, P1, in T1, and P2, in terminals T2 and T3, complete the parking spaces at Madrid Barajas Airport.
The airport's Express Parking service operates only in Terminal T2 and allows you to park and go directly to the arrivals area of that terminal. It is ideal for short stays in the facilities, such as passenger pick-ups.
The Madrid Airport VIP car park is located in three different areas, in Terminal T1, T2 and T4. It has a chauffeur-driven car pick-up service and offers vehicle drop-off and drop-off on foot at terminals T1, T2 and T4. The service must be booked at least three hours in advance.
The airport facilities have parking for motorbikes in terminals T1, T2 and T4, which are free of charge and unattended.
The airport has a specialised parking area for bicycles in all terminals, in the case of Terminal T2, next to the adjoining metro stop.
